Ownership
Marthinusen & Coutts is a wholly owned subsidiary of Savcio Holdings (Pty) Ltd which is owned by a consortium of Companies/Shareholders, two of which represent the BEE component. The Group is 28.5% Black Owned.
Savcio holds an Empowerdex BBB Rating and is a Level 5 Contributor as per the Department of TRade and Industry's Codes of Good Practice.

Skills Development
Savcio currently spends up to 1.6% of total payroll on skills development.

Preferential Procurement
The Company's policy is to maximise purchases from black or black empowered enterprises. The purpose is to promote entrepeneurship in Black communities and to give Black Business access to the mainstream of business opportunity.

Corporate Socila Investment
The group is involved in a number of corporate social investment initiatives in Historically disadvantaged communities, such as achool refurbishment, feeding schemes, aids orphanage projects, etc.

Enterprise Development
The group has, to date, established two joint venture companies that are fully BEE compliant and approved suppliers to Spoornet, Transnet, Eskom and Rotek.

Employment Equity
Employment Equity targets are constantly reviewed and reported on in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
