   High Speed Balancing

Many smaller electric motor repair companies benefit from M&C’s high speed balancing services. M&C’s workshop is equipped with the most modern technology for the high speed balancing of rotating equipment. The installation consists of a Schenck CAB690 balancing computer with the latest balancing software, and a variable speed drive capable of balancing speeds up to 3200 rpm.

The following rotating elements can be balanced to grade G1 in accordance with ISO 1940/1 – 1996. A computer generated test certificate is provided as proof of final balancing grade.

High Speed Balancing
  • Rotating elements up to 18 tons can be balanced at 300 rpm
  • Rotating elements up to 8 tons can be balanced at 1 500 rpm
  • Rotating elements up to 2 tons can be balanced at 3000 rpm
  • Rotating elements with stiff of flexible shafts can be balanced up to 3000 rpm.
  • Salient pole rotors up to 8 tons can be balanced at 1500 rpm
  • Large salient pole rotors can be balanced to the same tolerance, but at a reduced speed.
  • Maximum shaft length of 6 meters.
  • Maximum diameter of 2.1 meters.

Our equipment consists of three dedicated balancing stations to balance from small (diameter 100 millimetres) to large rotating elements.
